Your Ultimate Guide to Visiting the Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa

Expectations for the Burj Khalifa tickets

160 floors and an 828-metre height make up the Burj Khalifa. When it was finished in 2010, it gained notoriety for being:

The world’s tallest building Tallest freestanding building in the world

The structure with the most stories in the entire world

World’s highest service escalator in the world, highest outdoor observation deck in the world

A few projects to break its record have been proposed, but none of them have been carried out to date.

Recognizing that stand-by tickets are significantly more expensive than pre-booked ones and won’t be available at peak times is the most crucial step in planning your trip to the Burj Khalifa.

Users absolutely need to think about making a reservation in advance for this part of your trip to Dubai in order to save money and ensure that you don’t miss out.

For the assurance that you have purchased genuine tickets and the ability to cancel for free up to 24 hours in advance, we advise making your reservation through an authorised reseller like Get Your Guide.

The Burj Khalifa’s peak hours

4:00 PM – 6:30 PM

Burj Khalifa Non-Prime Hours

10:00 AM – 3:30 PM

7:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Note that it’s advised to reserve your time slot up to 90 minutes in advance of wanting your experience at the top (except sunrise).

The city’s main viewing platform of the Burj Khalifa is called At The Top.

At The Top on Levels 124/125 is the primary observation deck that the majority of visitors will see. On Level 125, a lofty 456m above ground level, you’ll find educational displays, an outdoor observation deck, immersive experiences, and a tribute to Arab Arts & Culture.

Even with pre-booked tickets, you should be prepared for a prolonged period of waiting in line, both to ascend the tower and descend it (even with lifts that move at 10 m/s). It will take you 1.5 to 2 hours to complete your experience. On the way out, there are additional displays to read.

And don’t let your ticket mislead you; although it may only say Level 124, which is where the lift stops, you have been allowed to take the internal staircase up to Level 125; it’s unclear how many years this has gone on without being made clear. Although the main outdoor deck, which everyone seems to rush to, is on Level 124, Level 125 offers a much quieter and more pleasant experience.

The Best SKY

Reach At The Top Sky, the world’s highest observation deck with an outdoor terrace, by attempting to climb 555 metres. Your visit to level 124/125 will be enhanced by a glamorous lounge experience including a tour and refreshments. However, you may stay on the bottom (if you can somehow call them that!) decks for as long as you like. Take note that your time in the level 148 lounge is limited to 30 minutes. Prepare to pay

Burj Khalifa’s The Lounge (Levels 154, 153, and 152).

There are a number of premium experiences available for The Lounge, depending on the time slot you want to visit.

In the Clouds with Tea

Relax on the plush couches positioned from Level 152 to Level 154 at a height of 585 metres. Enjoy a variety of delectable teas and coffees along with a variety of fresh baked goods and desserts. Pay 749 AED as expected.

Dazzling sundowner

From level 152 to level 154, enjoy the sunset. While taking in a guided tour and light entertainment, enjoy a glass of house beverage or bubbly and complimentary gourmet canapes. Pay 749 AED as expected.

When to visit Burj Khalifa is best

The time of year you visit can make a big difference. The most popular times of day are obviously sunrise and sunset because of the beautiful golden hour light they cast over the city, but at certain times of the year, mornings in particular can be disrupted by fog and other atmospheric conditions. Of course, this could only heighten the tension or cover you in snow.

Even though you can’t see as much detail at night, the city lights up spectacularly and you can clearly see how large it is.
